Working any of our Games

Welcome to the Games Operation Training Module for Santa’s Wonderland. This module provides essential guidelines for effectively managing and operating the various carnival games available to our patrons.

## 1. Overview of Games

Santa’s Wonderland offers a variety of engaging games for patrons, including:

– *Catch a Character*
– *Laughing Clowns*
– *Ring a Bottle*
– *Pick a Pop Character*

Additionally, we offer genuine licensed prizes from the latest popular brands.

## 2. Your Game Plan

### Patron Interaction

1. *Greeting Patrons*: When working at a carnival game, you are in direct contact with patrons. Always greet them warmly.
2. *Inviting Participation*: Ask if they would like to play the game and explain how it works.

### Game Explanation and Payment

1. *Cost Explanation*: If patrons are interested in playing, explain the cost of the game.
2. *Transaction Handling*: Conduct transactions using cash or EFTPOS.
3. *Pre-Purchased Game Plays*: Be aware that some patrons may have pre-purchased game plays with their entry tickets and may present a game play voucher ticket.

## 3. Game Mechanics

### Catch a Character and Pick a Pop

– These games allow players to accumulate points. Players can purchase additional tries to combine their points and win larger prizes.

### Laughing Clowns

– This is a lucky number game where 5 balls are inserted into the clown’s mouth. The position where the balls land in the numbered slots will determine the prize. There is a prize for each game played.

### Ring a Bottle

– This is a skill-based game. Only one successful ring toss will win a giant prize. Patrons are given a bucket of rings for multiple chances to “ring a bottle.”

### Practical Training

– Practical training will be provided at each game to ensure you are familiar with the mechanics and operations.

## 4. Prize Management

### Prize Distribution

– Always ensure you reward patrons with the correct prize they have won. Do not give away larger prizes if they have not paid to play and accumulated the necessary points.

### Cash Handling

– Exercise caution when handling cash. Always double-check that you have given the correct change to patrons.
– Never walk away from the game with the money bag. Always leave with your supervisor if you need to take money elsewhere.

## 5. Prize Retrieval

– When patrons win prizes, they can be taken from the chains.
– Larger prizes are kept *Back of House (BOH)* and can only be accessed by a supervisor.

## 6. Conclusion

By adhering to these guidelines, you will ensure a fun and safe experience for all patrons participating in our games. Thank you for your commitment to excellent customer service and operational integrity!
